CURRENT AND RECENT WORK
01- OFF THE GRID LIVING
A collection of interviews and stories from people living off the grid in the UK, produced in the form of three riso printed publications.
For this project, I got the opportunity to go out and have conversations with different people living off the grid in the UK. With the information and stories I was told, along side some additional secondary research, I created three publications focusing around the New Age Travelling community, Van Dwellers and people living on narrow boats.
I wanted the outcomes of these publications to feel celebratory and shed light on alternatice lifestyles in the UK for those who may not know much about them.
I chose the technique of riso printing because I like the hands on approach and I wanted these publications to feel tactile.
I love the vibrancy that riso printing has to offer and I think this effect could have simply not been replicated had I printed these publications on a conventional printer.

02. Submerge
An interview with a deep sea diver.
For this publication, I contacted a family friend who was a deep sea diver to interview around their experiences. My findings from this interview were that deep sea diving can be an amazing experience, however it does come with many dangers.
I wanted to capture this in my publication and I did this by creating the duo sided concertina design. One side of the publication is blue whilst the other is much darker, in black and white. This side is the one talking about the dangers of deep sea diving.
The concertina design was created to capture the depth that divers reach during the sport.

03.A BEAUTIFUL RANDOM ARRAY
For this project, I created a publication around carbooting. I wanted to collect as much primary content as I could for this project which involved my visiting as many carboots as possible and chatting to locals that attend regularly.
This was my first larger editoral piece and there are some changed I would have made now I have more experience making larger pieces like this but it was a really fun project to work on.
I also included the type spec for this project here.
